The location on the edge of the forest was enchanting, creating a peaceful and serene atmosphere. The food at the restaurant was exquisite, offering a high level of culinary expertise. The staff went above and beyond to ensure a pleasant and enjoyable experience. The hospitality and service were exceptional, making us feel truly cared for. The upgrade to Pillows from Sandton was a welcome surprise, as we were already familiar with the Pillows brand and had enjoyed previous stays at their hotels in Zwolle and Gent. The ambiance of the hotel, with its beautiful old building and lovely grounds, added to the overall charm of the experience.
One drawback was the limited availability of air conditioning in the rooms, as stated on the website. We had to request a new suite to ensure a comfortable stay.

A very appealing hotel, with roomy well appointed rooms and a pleasant restaurant with an attractive menu.
It would be nice if the art center had longer opening hours in the weekend. we were not able to visit, since the center did not open until 14.00 hrs, long after our check-out

Great location, quiet and beautiful surroundings.
Spacious rooms and bathrooms
No air conditioning, that needs to be changed in this hotel to return in the late spring/summer especially with higher temps upon us. Also restaurant is ok but service extremely slow and a daily special that didn’t change during our 4 night stay I find unacceptable. Also not very flexible with dietary needs or providing extra greens upon request and willing to pay extra for it.

Loved the sense of history in this former noble residence, great base for exploring the region. Terrace by the pond was perfect for unwinding after a long day of cycling. De Tuin van de Barones was a unique and charming spot.
Oh, and who needs a spa or a decent breakfast anyway?

My recent stay at Fletcher Hotel was exceptional. The room was spacious and beautifully decorated, with a luxurious bathroom that made me feel like I was in a spa. The beds were incredibly comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep. The service provided by the staff was friendly and helpful, making me feel welcome throughout my stay. I also enjoyed the delicious food at the in-house restaurant, with a wide variety of options to choose from. I had a wonderful experience and would highly recommend this hotel to others.

Most convenient for the Floriade at Venlo. That is why we chose it. Merely for convenience and literally only had dinner, bed and breakfast for the duration of our stay (one night only). Food was good as was the dining room and service of staff. Room comfortable, bathroom lacked towel rails,
Our criticism is that the bed was very, very soft.

Title: Peaceful retreat with charming décor, but lacking senior-friendly amenities
I would have liked to see more senior-friendly amenities available at the hotel. The lack of handrails or grab bars in certain areas, such as the bathrooms or stairs, made it a bit challenging for older guests like myself.

Wonderful location. Excellent room with Coffee/Tea making facility. Woodland walk adjacent to hotel. Friendly and informative staff. My upgrade to a superior room with no extra charge.
No aircon in the newer rooms.

The restaurant at this charming hotel prepared our meals well, and we enjoyed the delicious dinner with great wines served by friendly personnel. The location in which the hotel is situated is perfect for a weekend escape, surrounded by nature. the hotel has great artwork and a lovely ambiance.
The breakfast staff was slow to take orders, and we had to find them rather than them coming to us.

The Chateau de Raay is a peaceful hotel set in pleasant grounds at the end of a long pavé drive (don't be put off by the initial approach through a modern housing estate), an excellent base for a visit to Floriade. The staff are friendly and efficient with a good restaurant and a charming outdoor dining area if the weather is kind. Our room in the converted outbuilding was clean, comfortable and well equipped. If you have time, bikes are freely available to explore the extensive cycle ways along the banks of the Maas nearby. Certainly worth a return visit to explore the Limburg area.
